You might think trying on wedding gowns is a lot like trying on other clothes, and it can be, but in many ways, this experience will be like none other you’ve ever had.
Most bridal shops in Utah request that brides make an appointment to try on wedding gowns. The reason for this is because brides need the full attention of our sales associates. We provide one-on-one assistance for every bride. When you shop at Pritchett Bridal, your sales associate is dedicated to you for the duration of your appointment.
Additionally, we only allow a limited number of brides to try on dresses at one time. It’s not only safer, but it allows us to give our clients the level of personal attention they deserve.
Determine Your Bridal Gown Preferences
To better maximize your time, take a look at some of the designers we carry in our store before your appointment. When you find one or two favorites, look at some of their dresses online and make notes about what you like. Consider colors, necklines, fabrics and details.
Let your sales associate know your style preferences, and she will be able to pull a selection of dresses for you to look at when you arrive. For instance, if we know you have a simple sheath dress in mind, we won’t waste time showing you dresses with lace or embellishments.
What Happens at Your Bridal Gown Appointment
We allot an hour and a half for each of our bridal appointments. When you arrive, you will meet your friendly sales associate who will show you to your private dressing room. Many brides bring their mom or a friend or two to help them decide which dress is for them.
At this time, you can look through the bridal gowns your sales associate has selected for you to see if you want to try any of them on. However, we carry hundreds of gowns in our bridal boutique, so you may want to check out other designers and styles while you are there.
Trying on Wedding Dresses
Next is the fun part! Your sales associate will help you into each gown you want to try on, making sure that everything is fastened correctly and is sitting evenly on your frame so that you get a realistic idea of how you would look in the gown on your wedding day.
Remember to rely on your sales associate’s extensive experience and knowledge of the wedding gowns we sell at Pritchett Bridal. If you’re looking in the mirror thinking, “I love this fabric, but these sleeves are too full,” tell her! She may be able to show you another similar gown with a different style of sleeve.
Regardless of the style of bridal gown you prefer, you will love trying them on and seeing how you look in the most special dress you will ever wear. Book your appointment to try on wedding gowns at Pritchett Bridal today!
